What was the problem?


The intent behind Tuesday “Kids Night” was to bring families into Fazoli’s to enjoy good food and togetherness. But Fazoli’s Kids Night crafts and activities program had become stale, and was reliant on Fazoli’s staff members, so some operators chose not to participate because of the expense. As a result, Kids Night was not driving traffic to the extent it had in prior years.


What was our inventive solution?


We started from scratch to make the new kids’ program more engaging for the whole family, and to eliminate the hurdles of operator participation. The solution was to entertain kids with a wider variety of more cognitive and creative activities that also encouraged parents to participate for real, quality family time. And we re-branded the activities, “Spaghetti Smarts.” 


Did it work?

Fazoli’s is thrilled with the results! Since the launch of Spaghetti Smarts, not only did we reverse the downward trend on Kids Night, Tuesdays are now the strongest weekday night for the brand!
